kaaba ๐Ÿ•‹

If you want to show respect to your Muslim friend, or maybe they are going on a pilgrimage to their religionโ€™s holy site, then send them a Kaaba emoji!

Established in 608 C.E., Kaaba is a cube-shaped black and gold building. It is 50m tall and has a base that measures 35 by 40 feet. This structure is found in the Great Mosque of Mecca, also known as the Al-Masjid al-Haram Mosque, located in the Mecca Province of Saudi Arabia.

This building is closed during the hajj, the annual Islamic 5-day pilgrimage to Mecca, due to the overwhelming number of pilgrims. However, the Kaaba is usually open during the other times of the year.

The interior of Kaaba consists of white marble walls on the lower half. The upper half, on the other hand, displays a patterned green cloth. Additionally, there are three tall stone pillars with lamps, a small table, and a staircase headed to the roof.

However, non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the structure or even perform the hajj. Furthermore, the Saudi Arabian government forbids all non-Muslims from entering the holy city of Mecca.

So if you have an Islamic friend who will join the hajj, send them this Kaaba emoji as well while wishing them well. Surely, they will appreciate your respect for their heritage.
