Courts are starting to say yes. In a 2023 Canadian case, a 👍 emoji was ruled to be a valid acceptance of a contract. Similar rulings have happened in Israel and the US. If you don't mean “yes, I agree”, don't send 👍 — and if you do, be aware a court might treat it as consent.
